"You did what? Where?" Danielle gargled, her mouth half filled with food.

"I'm going to Saint Ives Academy." I said again, slowly this time so they could soak it in. I was back in the lunch room with Danielle, Tori and Emily. "I start tomorrow."

"But Sophie!! You can't just leave us!" Tori exclaimed, then said as an afterthought, "No matter how great an opportunity this is..."

"But, I have to! Please understand! I promised Co- I mean, someone very dear to me that I would." I paused and looked out the window. I could tell I wore a very gloomy expression but didn't care to elaborate.

Chapter 1
"Soph... Sophie!"
"No! Not again!" I yelled, bolting up in bed. Sweat dripped down my back from my honey blond hair. Voices still rang in my ears, making me dizzy.
"Sophie? Sophie?" My mother called. I didn't answer. I knew that she was just checking to make sure I'm awake. Her slippers clomp up the stairs with a familiar tread. She opened my door to find me sitting on my bed with my head in my hands. "That dream again, huh?" I nodded
"It has been happening more and more lately, maybe..." I began.
